Great Pet Friendly Room! - Review of Callaway Gardens





This was our 3rd stay at Calloway Gardens. In the past, we stayed at the Mountain Creek Inn, which we found very nice. This time we stayed at a Mountain Creek Villa. These are privately owned homes, rented out by Callaway Gardens. We stayed at a relatively new villa on a pond. It had lots of space, well-decorated, fireplace, large kitchen, washer/dryer and all the amenities of daily maid service at a very reasonable rate (package), which included golf privileges throughout our stay.

The golf was great and the azaleas were in full bloom while we were there. Except for a tiny glitch in one restaurant's posted hours, our stay was perfect. The food was excellent and reasonable. We ate at almost all of the restaurants on the premises.

The staff is very attentive and helpful, with a smile and a greeting. The golf pro was helpful and the courses are well-maintained (we played the less rigorous Lakeside course..the other course is the Mountain course).

The gardens and the Day Butterfly Center, along with the Sibley Horticultural Center are beautiful and informative.

All in all a relaxing, wonderful stay. We'd highly recommend Callaway Gardens as a prime location for a great vacation.
